Teaching Experience (from 1997)
Dance Technical Classes - Level 1 covers the basic travelling steps, isolations, arms and transitions and then drills them in combinations. Each succeeding level works on enhancing current skills layering on basic to advanced moves, more complex arm movements and undulations along with new moves and floor patterns. Advanced levels focus on different styles of dance and techniques and the use of props for performance. It presents difficult layering of moves and combinations to further challenge the dancer to combine the moves into a flawless presentation for stage.
Choreography Classes - These classes cover a different style each session to expose the dancer to a variety of dance styles and costuming from Egyptian Oriental, Folkloric styles, props (burlesque & belly), tribal, pop, gypsy, classical (burlesque & belly) and modern (neo burlesque), etc. The piece is perfected and then performed at recitals and events.
Cardio Classes
Intro to Belly Latin Dance - This class mixes the basic travelling Belly Dance and Latin steps in short combinations to increase the heart rate and have a blast. Continuing adds simple travelling undulations, more steps and harder choreography.

Teachers Training Level 1
This course will give everything needed to teach the beginner dance steps safely and effectively in the classroom. The class will include a combination of theory and practical exercises. Their will be a practical exam at the end of the course to demonstrate that you have an understanding of the course material.
The course will cover:
1. Class Room Movement the movements, with breakdowns, including the muscle and joint mechanics associated with each movement, the warm up and cool down, and putting together steps into combinations with transitions.
2. Classroom Preparation including setting up your class material to teach, choreography made easy, working with props and where to get ideas.
3. Teaching Methods and Technique will cover the learning process, tips for correction, encouragement and feedback and goal setting for you and your student.
4. Music and Background will introduce you to the basic rhythms and music used in Middle Eastern Dance, an overview of different styles of dance, and a resource list to increase your understanding and allow you to do future study.
Solo Improvisation and Choreography - This class is for students who would like to have a finished solo piece either improvised within a structure or choreographed. The class will cover the aspects of choreography and improvisation including entrances, dynamics, exits, music choice and interpretation, costuming and make up, and stage presence. Feedback sessions are a part of this class.
Children’s Belly Dance Folk Style (8-11yrs) -This class incorporates scarves, canes etc with learning the basic moves.
Mother/Daughter Belly Dance Class (all ages) Let down your hair & have fun while bonding. Dancing, games, imagination and play are all a part of this class.
